The topic being explored throughout this website is the well-known tale of Little Red Riding Hood. The tale addresses various central concerns such as the role of women and men and stranger danger (Orenstein, 2002; Zipes, 1993). Various scholars and folklorists have undergone extensive academic research into the archetypal, structural and psychological elements of the tale. The websites intended audiences are; academics, and people who take interest into folklore. Furthermore, the purpose of this website is to give the viewer an insight into the archetypes, specifically the protagonist- Little Red Riding Hood and the antagonist- the wolf in seven different versions of the tale.
